About Me

Hey Sox fans, my name is Jared Carrabis. I'm a diehard Red Sox fan and have had a share of season tickets at our beloved Fenway Park since 1997. I love to write and I love the Red Sox so naturally I want to become a sports writer for the Boston Red Sox. Back in January of 2006 I created SoxSpace (www.myspace.com/soxnation13) Since it's creation, it has been the home for all of my Sox writing and since has become the largest community of Red Sox fans on all of MySpace.com.

Along with my blogs, I have used SoxSpace to help raise money for the Jimmy Fund and the Lester Project. My aim is to keep Sox fans on their toes and provide information to Sox fans that don't have the luxury of a NESN in their homes. Not only do I aim to assist displaced Red Sox fans but also I am a strong supporter of our troops and provide information to a great deal of Red Sox fans serving our country over seas. As for the fans that live in the heart of Red Sox Nation, SoxSpace is a place for locals to come and talk Sox, share their opinions and interact with other Sox fans from all over the world.

To show my dedication to my team I wear a Red Sox shirt (no not the same shirt) every single day dating back to September 20th, 2003 making it over five years since I've started wearing them. Baseball is my life, I play it, coach it, watch it, write about it and talk about it and when I'm done with that, I do it all over again and I love every second of it. I'm a big time competitor, I love to win and I hate to lose but most importantly, I am never satisfied and always motivated.

I have been in contact with tens of thousands of Red Sox fans since starting SoxSpace and because of this, I finished third in the first election for President of Red Sox Nation. I could not thank all my supporters enough, once again proving that Boston is home to the best fans in all of sports.

In July of 2008, those very same Red Sox fans voted me in to becoming the very first fan representative of my home state of Massachusetts, the very same home of our very own Boston Red Sox. Being named the Red Sox Nation Governor of Massachusetts is a flattering honor and a privilege. I have been a member of Sawx Heads since it first started so if you are familiar with this website then you are familiar with my dedication to this team and it's fans. With that being said, there will be no question as to whether or not I will do my job to the fullest of my time and efforts to assure that Red Sox Nation's voice is heard.

In September of 2008, I launched my very own Red Sox website that is the new and improved version of SoxSpace away from MySpace.com. SoxSpaceNews.com is my official Red Sox blog along with many other unique and original fan interactive features including SoxSpace 101, Fan of the Week, fan photo gallery and the SoxSpace message board.

I am available 24/7/365 and there are a number of ways to get in touch with me. You can shoot me a message here on Sawx Heads, you can send me a message on my personal MySpace page (www.myspace.com/carrabis13) or of course you can reach me at my Red Sox Nation email address:

Jared, you were looking for topics .. well, it seems the Sox have a glut of pitching, a dearth of big bats... also, here's a thought - could Lowell be an effective DH if Papi slips?
