About Me
I've been following the Red Sox since the only team they were ahead of was the Washington Senators! Although I live in Yankee-land, I have never strayed. I was a finalist for president of Red Sox Nation, but somehow, 12 other people and I were dropped by the Red Sox "electoral college" and replaced by 12 other people and Big Pupi, the dog from Texas. (As a side note, when I was in the eighth grade at Bicknell Junior High School in Weymouth, Mass., I wrote a paper decrying the Electoral College in the United States, saying it was no longer needed for reasons that would take a five-page paper to explain. How prophetic was that?) Now, did we REALLY need a Red Sox electoral college, I ask you? The original finalists were the originals! I guess I should be happy to have been on that list, but...How cool would it have been to live among the Yankee fans and be president of RSN, I ask you??? I did not win the gubernatorial election for New York in 2008, either. Sigh. Guess the people who did the choosing couldn't spell Schenectady. They went for someone from the BIG CITY...Oh, well, I've been with this team for 54 years, ain't going no where else! On my "bucket list" is getting to sing the National Anthem at Fenway (I sing at one of the minor league parks every summer). Of course, my family is worried that I would have a heart attack on the field if I were to step on that hallowed ground...
