About Me
As a die-hard fan for over 40 years, I have experienced all of the agony and ecstasy that make being a Sox fan the absolute best. Like so many others, I became hooked in 1967 watching that incredible Impossible Dream team. I adored Jim Lonborg, Mike Andrews, Tony C and Yaz. What fun it was sitting in the bleachers for a buck, soaking in that amazing atmosphere only found at Fenway, and cheering on my beloved Sox. After all these years, still nothing makes me happier than going to the park, camera at the ready, from batting practice until the final out. Of course, being there with SoxDog67 and my girls always makes it even more special!
I count down the days until spring training starting the day the prior season ends. Hope springs eternal each year when pitchers and catchers report. Every year filled with the promise of a new beginning and hopefully a successful end! And in between, all the joys and sorrows that make loving baseball and the Sox such a great adventure.
So, here’s looking forward to another exciting and memorable season in 2009! I, for one, am particularly happy that Mike Lowell with be returning, healthy and terrific again. Go Sox!
