About Me
Diehard Red Sox fan since 1966. Back in the day, I camped out for DAYS for Sox tix - I parked my fanny on Yawkey Way or Landsdowne on seventeen different occasions, to be precise. The first time was 1986, when MANY of us camped out for playoff / WS tickets (I was there for 5 1/2 days -- and was 9th in line).
The February campouts for regular season tix are especially memorable -- three days in a pup tent with only sterno to keep us warm! Ah, those were the days!
I operate www.sox1fan.com. I've been doing a Sox blog since Spring of 2004 -- is it a coincidence that they turned things around the year I started my blog? I think not!
If you haven't been to my site, you REALLY need to come visit. Bookmark it. Leave comments on the site daily. During the baseball season, thanks to two GREAT sponsors, I give away free Sox tix and an autographed item EVERY MONTH. No purchase required. All you have to do is write the best comment on my site during the contest period... it's that simple. Seriously. It really is THAT simple. The person who writes the most creative or informative or inspiring comment every month WILL win FREE tickets.
How can you go wrong?
The more you enter, the better the odds of writing something that is going to strike my fancy.
The first contest period starts in spring training and ends Opening Day. After that, we have contest periods in April, May, June, July and August... and in September I select a grand prize winner who is designated "Commenter of the Year" -- that person wins a pair of tickets and another autographed item.
See you soon... thanks for reading my profile!
