Description:

Banned substance abuse can no longer be tolerated in Major League Baseball.  Stiffer penalties need to be enforced immediately to bring back the integrity of the game.  I encourage all of you to read this article to help you in making your decision to sign this petition.  PED use affects us all.  I urge you to take a stand now.  In the actual petition you will notice a phone number (212) 931-7800, where you can also voice your opinions.  ( I have already done so)  I have always believed in the adage "If you are not part of the solution- you are part of the problem."  For whatever it's worth-  I enourgage you to let your voice be heard! (and use your All-Star votes wisely.)

Petition:
The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball
Allan H. (Bud) Selig, Commissioner
245 Park Avenue, 31st Floor
New York, NY 10167
Phone: (212) 931-7800

To Allan H. (Bud) Selig , Commissioner of Baseball

The undersigned hereby support a Zero Tolerance policy for anyone testing positive for a banned substance at both the Major and Minor League levels. Stiffer penalties need to be enforced to protect our youth as well as restore the integrity to our beloved game of baseball.  We need to send a strong message to our youth that there will be NO tolerance for the use of banned substances.  Any other approach would not have the desired effect.

Major League players should be automatically suspended for one year and their current player contract voided.

A second offense should  be a ban  from professional baseball.

Any violations in the Minor Leagues should be an automatic banning from professional baseball.
