Former PawSox pitcher David Pauley returned to his old stomping grounds and pitched the Norfolk Tides (BAL) to a 5-3 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox this evening at McCoy Stadium. On the Maine coast, righty Adam Mills improved his record to 10-5 as he won his eighth straight start in the Portland Sea Dogs 8-1 win over the Altoona Curve (PIT)… with the win, he became the first pitcher in the sixteen-year history of the franchise to win eight straight starts.

The Salem Red Sox lost for the tenth time in eleven games as they fell to the Kinston Indians (CLE), 2-0, in North Carolina.  It was the thirteenth time the Red Sox were shut out this season.
