"The NFL moved its trade deadline back two weeks this season to help encourage more trade talk. It will be pushed back again.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced Monday that the league will push back the trading deadline 48 hours to Thursday, November 1 at 4 p.m. ET because of Hurricane Sandy. The original deadline was scheduled for Tuesday.
Aiello first told Around the League via email on Monday the league was considering extending the deadline. It makes sense because multiple teams have shut down operations on Monday. The NFL offices are also closed Monday and Tuesday, which would have made paperwork tricky to pull off for any potential deals.
