It is a boring night indeed when you are playing the Mariners.  Just ask this guy.  I'm guessing he went for the ear next.

Jason Bay is batting .257 with 44 RBIs and 6 home runs on the season (he is batting an anemic .169 in July) and it seems like manager Jerry Manuel is fed up. Bay was benched for last nights game against the Dodgers. Last season with the Red Sox he was THE POWER in the middle of the Red Sox line up, hitting 36 homers and driving in 119.

Turning Point
Buzzworthy - Feature It!
fruitgirl posted this 8 days ago
April 2010 was a not-so-great start to the Boston Red Sox baseball season, May got better, and June even better. Love it when the team has a steady rise upward and can manage to be anywhere from .5 to 8 games out of first place on any given week. Keep the Rolaids and Advil...

Tim McCarver made the following statements during a nationally televised game between the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. "You remember some of those despotic leaders in World War II, primarily in Russia and Germany, where they used to take those pictures that they had ... taken of former generals who were no longer alive, they had shot 'em. They...

Sonoma Dave posted this 13 days ago
Actually, I am here, physically, anyhow. Matt will be coming back soon, too, I think. No I don't think, I'm on autopilot right now.   I woke up in RI, 4:30 AM Pacific time, made my final rounds about the ol' homestead and town, packed up, and said my goodbyes. My big Red Sox fan brother gave me a ride...

Sox Will Honor “Man Who Ruined...
Buzzworthy - Feature It!
Neal D posted this 14 days ago
Mama always said don't speak ill of the dead but she also whispered under her breath: until they are buried. Anyway, I cannot for the life of me understand why the Red Sox are honoring George Steinbrenner with a moment of silence tonight. In time, he will be remembered as the man who inflated players salaries and caused competitive imbalance in Major...

Yanks Lose Patriarch, Baseball Loses...
Buzzworthy - Feature It!
Neal D posted this 16 days ago
With George Steinbrenners death today, the Yankees organization and fans lost their patriarch. The rest of baseball lost an owner who inflated player salaries, consistently spent over the salary cap and was more like Pee Wee Hermans neighbor Francis than a baseball legend. You remember Francis right? He was Pee Wee Hermans wealthy,...

What a Proud Legacy by George!

When George Steinbrenner passed away this morning we lost one of the great warriors of our time. Leave it to George to eclipse the All Star Game; Bless his heart.   Other MLB owners may not have liked or understood George, but he was a beacon for achievement in the industry;7 World Series Championships, unrivalled revenue growth, a huge media empire, a...
