I don't normally blog about losses, but I figured since it was the first game I watched this season, I had to.

I didn't catch the top of the first, I had to run to Walgreen's, but I got home just in time to see Jacoby's first at bat. Speaking of Jacoby's bat, the ESPN announcers repeatedly said something about his foot, & they are exactly right, Jacoby doesn't know what to do about his foot while he's in the box, it when up & down several time before he took a swing.
I really don't care that it is pronounced kaz-mire. I call him Cashmere, sometime sweater. I like to make fun of him, it makes me feel better. HAHA.
The Rays repeatedly made me use words that aren't lady like tonight, & I don't like that.
The ESPN announcers need to declare love for the Tampa Bay Rays already, apparently, "nobody runs down a double play like Iwamura", & Longoria is "sensational." It's really sickening.
David Ortiz's ankle BETTER be OK, that's all we need to worry about right now.
The 5th inning was very hard to watch, it seemed the outs never came, & Jon didn't listen to Tek when he told him to throw to first.
Speaking of Tek, apparently he's "old" & "needs a day off every time he catches", yeah, they went there. I think that his hitting is really coming back, even thought he went 0-4 tonight, he made contact each time, he didn't strike out, he hit the ball, he just had nothing to show for it.
Tonight was not good, but I think that if our offense had produced we could have had a lesser margin, & may have even won. It isn't fair to place all of the blame on the pitching staff.
Jon Lester said that he wants to be a guy Boston can count on, & feel he is, but tonight wasn't the right night to prove that.

Closing notes:
I'd like to say my piece to that dang home plate umpire, oh man, if I were a batter, I would not have been able to tolerate that.
I can't BELIEVE that I ever hated Jason Bay, he's such a good guy, I really truly can say I care for him. (: I'm embarrassed now to think of the way I acted when he joined our team.
The Yankees losing to the ORIOLES, again, with a score of 7-5, makes this loss easier to swallow. Do the Yankees suck this year, or are the Orioles good?
I begun to wonder what is going through Tek's mind during a game? Anybody have any ideas?
I saw the Dustin Pedroia MLB 09 The Show commercial 3 times tonight, but it's not like I'm complaining or anything. ;)

We have to remember, the beginning of the season is always slow, but we have to keep having faith. Always remain positive, even though we get mad & act like it's the end of the world when they lose, it's just about trying to be the best fans we can be.
