Its all a big question

I'm beginning to ask myself why I'm even watching the World Series. Sure the Phillies are a good team & I really like Chase Utley, & sure I hate the Yankees. But why am I putting myself through watching it?
I guess I'm watching it because I've got nothing to lose. My life wont be shattered in one team wins or loses. (although I'll be pretty pretty angry if the Yanks get that 27.) I've found watching baseball that doesn't involve your favorite team is actually fun. Whereas before I just assumed it boring because the Red Sox weren't playing. After you familiarize yourself with a couple of their players, you really do get into it.
I guess I'm just watching because it's baseball, & I guess now I'm a diehard baseball fan, not just a diehard Red Sox fan.
& of course, I'm watching the world series hoping the Yankees will get creamed too! & I really don't care what Yankees fans think about these new found Phillies fans, I'm not a fan, but for now, I'm rooting for the Phillies.
Why do you guys watch?
