So what, is Lugo going to become the next Javier Lopez, destined for assignment, & never to be heard from again?!
I can tell you, it's not like a care much. So Lugo was a Sox player, & sure I try to support all my boys, but, it's not like I had respect for the guy, or even much liked him.
All I can say is, I hope that people don't try to be all like, "OMG NICK GREEN'S NOT GETTING PLAYING TIME WAH WAH WAH!" Now that Lowrie is back, I hope Nick Green is a bench player reserve, because Jed deserves the playing time as the starter now that Lugo's gone.
& that's how I feel about that.

So now that the second have is started, I've had time to reflect on the whirlwind first half, & for everything that's happened for us to be 3 games up in first place, is AWESOME. Great job guys, continue to play your asses off & the title will be in Boston where it belongs!

Miss talking to you guys all the time. Send me comments, I get on for a short while about everyday!

I agree that Lowrie is a good player but his career has not been long enough for him to have earned to get his job back. Green has been doing a great job and should be allowed to continue. He has been a proven contributor all year.

Red Sox ..
I'd give up Lowrie and Green for a shortstop that could hit with some power and for average.

Lowrie hasnt really earned anything. He has only had 75 starts and is currently a career .245 hitter. Don't get me wrong, I really like Lowrie. Having seen him play a lot at Stanford I know what kind of upside he brings to a club. But to say, "Jed deserves the playing time as the starter now that Lugo's gone," is a little premature. I still think that is the position the Sox are going to try to address as we near the trade deadline. We have 2 solid but unproven guys there. If they dont make a move I think they will be fine but both Lowrie and Green could use a little more time, IMO. ...View More

I supported him under the circumstances, but his time is up.
