	It is EASY to understand...the players association has the league by the balls and they REFUSE to accept a mandatory testing policy. If MLB steps up to the plate (so to speak) there will likely be a strike by the players...so MLB is stuck between a rock and a hard place...cave to the demands of the PA and turn a blind eye to the problem (AND "pretend" that you WANT to clean up the game) OR tell the PA that "this is how it's going to go down..." and risk losing major revenue because of a player strike. ...View More...View Less 05/07/2009 1:44 PM

	I believe that humans began experimenting with horse steroids in the quite early 1900's...you can never prove that any of the "old timers" took something to help out...what I would do (personally) is call this the "steroid era", grandfather ALL RECORDS to this point, start a mandatory testing program and start kicking people out for positive tests... 05/07/2009 1:32 PM

	probably close to 20 years...and that's my point -it continues-no excuses-"it wasnt banned then", "I didnt know"...Once and for all it needs to be cleaned up and anybody testinhg positive for banned substances should be banned from baseball. 	A big part of this is a sigh of relief from Red Sox Nation...I couldn't care less what is going on with the Dodgers...they got exactly what WE knew they would get...as for the "sanctity of the game" you never know when all of this PED abusing started..the game could have been tainted for generations. 05/07/2009 1:21 PM
