I think Ellsbury has been great for us this year, but you need to explain more why he is your vote for MVP. It is early and there is a lot of season left. The player who is hot in September might be the one to win the award.

I wrote a blog 2-3 wks ago saying the sox are in tough shape because thy can't hit. I stand by that statement even with the trade for Laroche. Sox need a big hitter NOW or they won't even make the Wildcard!! Mark my words!! P.S. I probably spelled Marks name wrong.
I think we are in panic mood right now and it scares me. We need a boost but not at the expense of the future. Victor Martinez is good but not Masterson and Bowden good, we need to be patient, and not over react.

i believe we are going to get a bat. i just read on MLBtraderumors.com we have made two serious offers for V-mart.. one included masterson and bowden the other included Bowden.. if we are offering top prospects like that we will land someone before the dealine.... the question is who?

If you're predictions are right, people will call you a genius.
If you are wrong, no one will even remember you said this.
Do us a favor, if you are wrong please post a blog admitting it.

Am i the only person who thinks Theo Epstein is dead wrong when he says the team is fine the way it is! This team needs a hitter or two DESPERATLY!!!!

Brandon wanting to trade Masterson is stupid. He has been great for us all year. He can start, long relief, set-up and close. If the right deal comes along, of course try it. But I like this teams chances, as is.

i would LOVE halladay. but i do not wanna see bucholz, bowden, kelly or masterson leave. im guessing atleast two of them would be goiing.

Halladay isnt a bat...in Theo we trust. He is not as apt to deal the future as some fans are. If the right deal presents itself, he will act. If not, our team will do fine down the stretch. - Hell they only had the 3rd best record in baseball at the break, they cant compete...come on now people.

i agree. he's a good GM but he needs to have a killer instinct and not be satisfied with just an above average team that can compete in the playoffs. he needs to think of dominating the game. he should get a big bat and please...GET HALLADAY!

Just wondering. Will the Red Sox wait until Ortiz is batting .075 before they send him to Pawtucket so he can straighten himself out or will they leave him in the lineup until they are out of the AL east race?
He needs a few sessions with the man who helped him find his swing in the first place--Papa Jack. Yes, I sound like a broken record.
