Happy new year to my Sawxheads friends! 

I wanted to share with you a photo of my friend Reggie  (and his wife Kim), who is a major Phillies fan.  He got a liver transplant on the day that the Phillies won the World Series.  My feeling is, if the Red Sox didn't win in 2008, what better way for my friend, who has been on the transplant list for TEN YEARS and finally became ill enough (that's what it takes, folks) to go to the top of the list, to wake up from surgery and have HIS team win!  He finally looks healthy and feels great.  He is singing again (this is how he makes his living--check out www.kimandreggie.com).

So...I can live with the Phillies win for 2008--for Reggie (who has sung the National Anthem at a number of places, by the way, including for the Chicago Bulls when Michael Jordan was on the team)--but I can't wait for OUR TEAM in 2009!!!
