So the last two days of my life have been the longest days i can remember. But oh so amazing. Ok, so it monday night, i had a game at 8 from there my family and I went home and packed the car up. We drove to Atlanta at around 12 for a flight at 6:20. Why? I dont know ask my mom. We flew out of Atlanta and arrived at Philly at around 8:40 and ran through the airport for our flight to Boston which was already boarding. I think I took out about 3 people and an old lady. Sorry old lady, Boston awaits. We made it to Boston, we got to the hotel on the harbor, facing the skyline. My family needed sleep, i needed to see the city. they went up to the room and I spent about 3 hours in the city and me they met later. I love this city. Today we all went to Fenway and that area, now I am sitting in the room looking over the beautiful skyline about to go back in to the city. I cant wait for the Brave series this weekend. I think ive had about 6 hours of sleep in the past two days im tired as hell.

Ok so the mass majority of this site have either been to Boston or live around Boston. As many of you know I am making the trip to Fenway sometime this June. We were going to go to the Kansas City series in July but we were able to get Yankme tickets for a series in June. So my question for you people is... Do you know of any discounts or good hotels etc etc. places i should go, stay away from you get the gist.

I can tell you for certain - you want to stay outside the city. I lived in the area for most of my life, and you can save yourself a lot of fuss and fuming if you get a room off of Rt 495 around the I-290 interchange in Westboro. Probably some good name hotels, Marriot...whatever - the area has grown since I was a kid and there are now excellent restaurants and shopping within ten minutes from anywhere. Plus - you're five minutes from the Mass Pike - a 20 minute straight shot into Fenway. Park in the Prudential Center Mall garage and walk the 5, 6 blocks to Fenway. Trust me - you don't want to end up driving around the Fens looking for discount parking if you've never been there. That's $80 / hr worth of hassle. Keep in mind that the streets of Boston go back to colonial day cowpaths, when there were no "planning boards". Whatever you do, stay away from the 128 (I-95) area, or you'll be paying top dollar for nothing but bumper to bumper heartache. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. ...View More

I've only been on this site for a few months but i have grown to love it. This massive community of Sawx fans, young and old. It is the one thing (apart from the whole loyalty thing) that makes Sawx fans different, and until this website goes belly-up I am here to stay.

BTW Rocky...Some of us may not get on hre as often as you and might not know that Rafe posted this topic in the forums. You'll see, these blogs will change over but it will take some time. Be patient.. It also takes some getting used to for those of us that have just been used to going here for everything.

Josh Beckett will get the ball on Opening Day at Fenway for the first time since joining the Sawx, Jon Lester will come second, then the MVP of the WBC Daisuke Matsuzaka will be in the third spot, the knuckle-baller Wakefield and then last but not least Brad Penny. Oh and just to add to our bullpen strength the Sawx have moved Justin Masterson to the pen.

forgot to upvote your blog. it got me psyched about pitching rotations. a week from today, too bad they have to leave town so fast after playing Tampa though.

I think Penny starts on the 15th,unless they put him on before Tim Wakefield on the 14th.Either way,I see Beckett twice in April!!
