As a kid watching baseball and learning to appreciate really good baseball players, Gary Carter's name was one I recalled as being just that.  Sadly Gary Carter passed away at age 57 on thursday,

As Gary will now join the ranks of the many great players who have left us, he will always be remembered for being a classy ballplayer with integrity and great character.

Rest in peace, Gary. You will be missed.
