So the Govnah posted a question today on the SoxSpace facebook page. If you were Theo Epstein, what move would you make before the ever so important playoff push of August and September? Everyone seems to be infatuated with Gonzo and the Doc. Id go a different direction, here is the deal I would be pursuing. We would send Felix Doubront, Jeff Bailey, Nick Green and Clay Buchholz to Arizona for Stephen Drew and Justin Upton. Both are very young, soon to be perennial All Stars, who are under contract through the 2013 season (Upton through 2014). Drew is a consistent glove AND stick and the OF of Bay, Ellsbury and Upton would be one of the tops in all of baseball. With the recent aquisition of LaRoche, Youk could slide back accross the diamond to 3rd and we wouldn't lose anything defensively. Anyway, there is my answer.
