I remember why... Fan Votes 5 Cali wrote this 2 years ago Permalink I don't ever watch the games when we play the A's because NESN gets blacked out and the home town guys are just down right garbage. So I was listening to tonight's game via the WRKO radio feed until the end of MDC's outing. Then for some reason I decided to go grab a cold one and watch the tail end of what turned out to be a pretty exciting game. So after the top of the 8th, they cut back on from comercial and I hear "Sweeeeet Caaaaroline..." being sung, very beautifully I might add, by the Fenway Faithfull in attendance tonight. Then I hear Glen Kuiper, the A's play by play guy, start talking about how he's so glad this is the last game of the series because "...it's great the first night, it's okay the second night, the third night your just tired of it. It's just not funny anymore." I guess we are just a little spoiled with the talent of the NESN crew. They don't go out of there way to slam other cities or players and they call one hell of a game. Even with El Presidente being out on the DL. Get well soon Jery! Can't wait to have you back in the booth! -Cali Tags:  Glen Kuiper sucks

	In response to Kuiper...Is 'Sweet Caroline' supposed to be funny?? I thought it was just a song to engage fans late in the game?? I wonder how he felt when they start 'the wave' too, since the fans likely did that sometime during each game. 07/09/2009 10:20 AM
