In Theo We Trust? Or in Theo's Eyes, We're a Bust? Today begins the "unofficial start" to the 2009 offseason, and the Red Sox have a LOT of slack to pick up. They could start by sweeping up the streets of NY after the Yankees victory parade. YUCKKKKK. Enjoy your weekend guys, just wanted to drop a quick note for the record.
Good stuff as always. Great video. I think Hermida could break out in Boston. We can't out spend the Yankees and shouldn't try. We just need to be smart and bring in athelet's not just power hitters. Great job as always.

Wow! Aside from wow, I'm glad you agree with me that the Hermedia trade was right in par with the nothing trades we have been pulling off.

the hermida trade is a bit of a non-event, trade a couple of sub-par relievers for an outfielder that "hasnt reached his potential" hardly going to make a huge difference. i see him being traded out again as part of a package for a big bat from somewhere else. if papi doesnt pick up his production this year i dont see him last long, unfortunately i dont see much of a market for an underachieving DH which could put him in a tricky spot. and as much as id love to see tek do well i really think there is 2 options for him, exercise his player option and serve as backup to v-mart or retire. interest in tek from other teams probably hasnt changed since the last time he dipped his toe in the free agent pool so his best option is to step out while he still has our respect. good work as usual kiddo ...View More...View Less
