Butchie wants to relax but the Sox wont let him .
Yes I know its three games just three games out of 162 but you I and Butchie cant help but see resemblances to last Septembers breakdown. We pitch we don’t hit we hit and we can’t pitch, or we can’t do either. This seemed to be the story line all September. And it looks like that’s the way this season has begun. I know its just three games. But you can’t tell me you don’t get a queasy feeling when we went into the season questioning the back end of a rotation that hasn’t touched the ball yet and two thirds of the top of the rotation looks this pathetic. And this mess of a bull pen is the cherry on top of this melted Sunday of an opening series. Our closer has an ERA of infinity yea you heard me right INFINITY. Melancon isn’t faring much better owning two of the three losses. If there is a small bright spot and that’s a big if it has to be Vicente Padilla and Franklin Morales both of who had fantastic Sundays. But it’s over shadowed by the fact that Melancon and Aceves have been this bad and we wonder how this will be sorted out. We are not exactly stocked in the minors not that anyone is in a mindset to start trading at this time of year and the time to spend money on this problem is long gone. Do I wish Bard would demand the ball in the ninth yes. Is that going to happen now? I doubt it. The only thing I can see happening to right this ship is move Aceves back to the seventh let Padilla set up and give Morales the closer slot. And Pray that Bard and Doubront can come through
