Butchie says: Turn The Page Pop

I agree. From 2011 to 2012 from Football season to Baseball from winter to spring. From Theo the Ego and Tito to Bargain Basement Benny and Bobby V. Butchie is right its time to turn the page. As Pitchers and catchers pour into Fort Myers Bobby V is entertaining the media with tales of how his style of training camp has the players bumming and how he built a time machine out of DeLorean and founded Fort Myers back in the late 1800’s he was going to call it Fort Valentine but that would have been to showy.  By the time you read this the talking heads will be descending in droves ready to demand apologies for chicken gate beer gate or September gate pick your favorite gate and run with it. Take it from a parent. when I child is convinced they didn’t do anything wrong your not going to get an apology so just let it go, Turn the Page. They will be talking about the lack of spending this off season but questioning offering Popi arbitration and settling on 14.5 million to keep him happy all season, if John Henry is siphoning off funds from Fenway to upgrade his projects across the pond in Liverpool. And who’s going to play cribbage with Pedroia? Butchie knows what questions should they be asking?

Is this team deep enough defensively?

Is it still to left handed offensively?

Are You expecting Dice Back this season?

How many innings do you think you can count on from Buchholtz?

Are you committed to Bard as a starter or is there a plan B when he starts walking the world?

Will there Be a New Captain ?

Is Gonzalez’s shoulder healthy, or are we stuck with the second half Rod Carew numbers we were given last season?

What moron let Theo go to Chicago before his compensation was worked out?

And who is going to play cribbage with Pedroia?

. It’s no secret I don’t like the choice of manager but I do like the make up of this team. Cody Ross is a great pick up and a much needed right handed bat. The right side of this infield is the best in baseball we have speed to burn on the base paths and if healthy ill take the top of our rotation over any other in the AL. we have the stars and the roll players. If things come together this team will be in the hunt for the pennant. But is Bobby the man to do that? It’s the first week of spring people and these questions need to be asked and answered. Butchie and I will be watching listening and tossing in our two cents over the next month. Stay tuned
