Here are my predictions for the NFL games this weekend.

Carolina at Chicago – The Bears are playing great football right now while Cam Newton and the Panthers have really struggled to get any kind of offensive flow going.  One would expect these trends to continue and that the Panthers would be completely overwhelmed especially with the way the Bears defense is playing.  Something tells me the Panthers are going to get into a groove on offense and give the Bears a game. I still think the Bears are too much especially at home. Bears win.

San Diego at Cleveland – Philip Rivers looks to get back into an offensive rhythm against a Browns defense that gives up points. Trent Richardson is banged up but looks like he will try to give it a go. I like the Chargers to come into Cleveland and impose their will by running the ball with Ryan Matthews and taking shots down the field to Malcolm Flloyd and Robert Meachem. Chargers win

Seattle at Detroit – The Seahawks are a completely different team at home and away.  They travel to Detroit where they are desperate for a win especially after the tough offensive performance on Monday night against the Bears.  Matthew Stafford has not been the same Stafford from last year as teams are dropping safeties back and doubling Calvin Johnson from the get go. He will need another receiver to emerge and take some of the pressure off of him and Megatron. Because of their struggles on the road I am going with the Lions to pick up a much needed win.

Jacksonville at Green Bay – Jacksonville will be without Maurice Jones-Drew and Blaine Gabbert so you can expect the Packers to be aggressive on defense and really pressure the passing game.  I think Aaron Rodgers picks up where he has left off the last two games and continues to spread the ball around to his plethora of receivers.  This one gets ugly as the Packers win easily.

Indianapolis at Tennessee – The Titans won a nail bitter last weekend in Buffalo and are looking for another great performance out of Chris Johnson after his 185 yard 2 touchdown game.  He has done well against poor rush defenses this year so look for him to keep his good play up.  The Colts continue to improve and should have opportunities to expose the secondary of the Titans. Reggie Wayne will be targeted quite a bit and they might have Donald Brown back.  Titans are playing good ball right now and I think that continues. Titans win.

New England vs. St. Louis – This one is being played in London and looks like a pretty big mismatch.  If the Patriots have a weakness it is on defense so Sam Bradford better have his arm ready to air it out because that is the only chance they have in this one.  Although Aaron Hernandez is out I expect Tom Brady to have plenty of options and to light the scoreboard up. Patriots win.

Miami at New York Jets – The Dolphins are coming off of a bye and Reggie Bush is fully healed and ready to get back at it.  The continued improvement of Ryan Tannehill has Dolphins fans excited.  The Jets had a chance to beat the Patriots and let it slip away in overtime so you can expect them to be fired up and ready to go here.  This is a big division matchup for both teams and the loser is in trouble if they hope to keep up with the Patriots or even contend for a wild card spot.

Atlanta at Philadelphia – This one has the makings of the game of the week.  The Eagles need to get things going and limit the turnovers if they are going to be a contender and beating the Falcons would be huge for their confidence.  The Falcons have escaped some close games and would really like a big performance out of their offense and win one going away. I don’t think that will happen because the Eagles offer challenges for the Falcons.  I like the Eagles to pull it off here.

Washington at Pittsburgh – The Redskins came close to knocking off the Giants last week and has another tough test in front of them.  Pittsburgh looked good especially on defense against the Bengals and look to keep the momentum going.  They are battling injuries at running back but the guys they have had fill in have done a great job.  RGIII will be tested once again with another top notch defense.  I like the Steelers to win here.

New York Giants at Dallas – The Giants will look to avenge their opening night loss to the Cowboys.  This is huge for the Cowboys who can sweep the season series with the Giants and inch closer to the division lead.  The Giants are playing as well as anyone in football right now so it will be hard for them to win.  Eli has his weapons healthy and I don’t see them losing both times to Dallas. Giants pick up a nice road win.

New Orleans at Denver – This has the makings of being a shootout in Denver.  The Saints are scoring through the air and the Broncos under Payton Manning are explosive.  The Broncos are notorious for falling behind big in the first half and then making a game of it but I don’t see them scoring enough if the Saints get up 20 or more.  This is going to be a treat for the fans on Sunday night. I like the Broncos to pull this one out as I think they are more of a complete team right now.
